Mission Statement



			The Smith County Tax Office mission is to make the paying of ad valorem property taxes and licensing and titling of vehicles easy, efficient, and cost effective for the citizens of .
The County Tax office touches most adults in Smith County . The Tax Office assesses and collects for 6 taxing jurisdictions in the County, disbursing almost $100 million dollars to these entities in the most recent tax year. In addition, the Tax Office processed 110 thousand vehicle registrations and title transfers last year. The Smith County uses the most advanced technology to assure that citizens of Smith County receive only the best customer service available.
